Dracula is a semi-mythical figure, did you know? He really existed as Prince Vlad II of Wallachia. Dracula actually means "son of Dracul", his father's (Prince Vlad I) title as a member of the order of the dragon. That's how Bram Stoker found the name for his vampire in his novel.
But, all Hellsing fans should know that. Alucard, with his Bran Castle above him and the silhouettes off several unforunate people - children included. Alucard (c) Kohta Hirano Prince Vlad II (c) his dead self EDIT I changed "Count" to "Prince" after stumbling upon it in history research. Oops. Tidbits: - Vlad never called himself Tepes. Tepes is the name given to him by his enemies, which means "Impaler". - Vlad II's grave was dug up several decades after his death, but no body or coffin was found. |
